The Bikes

The Bikes

The Bikes have been paid for by our employer Keighley and District, and assembled and supplied at a discount by All Terrain Cycles. These are All Terrain's own brand Regal roadbikes. All three bike share the same Regal Jester chromoly frame and Shimano 105 groupset, They have a nine-speed gear cog and triple chainset to give 27-speed setup. The gear shifters are integrated into the brake levers! The tyres are from Continental Tyres. The bikes have slightly different frame sizes and stem lengths to compensate for the different heights of the riders. We thought the saddles looked so hard we used our own!!

The Bikes from a Different Angle!!!

The Support Team

The team had great support throughout the ride - thanks Dave and Jim!

A BIG thankyou to Dave Demot of DRIVE-IN SERVICE CENTRE, Otley Road, Shipley, for providing the van and himself to drive it. Dave sponsored the team so they can stay in B&B for the durations of the ride, HUGELY appreciated by the cyclists! The van has also been borrowed for use with our charity sales, and Dave has kindly provided support for our C2C and Reivers rides. Jim Horan was a valuable member of the support team, and photographer helping us take lots of pictures of the ride in progress. They also helped keep Russ going when he was on his last legs (erm.. knees!!)

The Van

We would also like to thank our main sponsor Keighley and District, also thanks to Ros Wilkes and John Dunne for approaching other bus companies for fuel on our behalf.

Thanks are also due to fellow Keighley and District colleagues,

Martin Butler (and his wife), for donated items, and the lend of (another!) van. Perry Smith, for organising the Beach Party, and making a spectacle of himself at the NIMBUS Barbeque for charity. Tom Kendrick & Tracy , Dave Johnson and anyone else who has helped but we might have forgotton to mention.

And of course the rest of the people at work who have given us donations and moral support.

Thanks to everyone who has raised funds on our behalf.

Not least the family and friends of the riders, who have given much time and effort. Also the people who have given time to help make our functions happen.

THANKYOU ALL VERY MUCH!!
